For the past few months, Christ the King School Board has been discussing the instructional program and financial viability of our school. After much prayer, many hours of discussion and deliberation, the school board recommended that the 6th grade program will not be offered in school year 2011-2012. St. Anthony Grade School is working closely with us to provide a seamless transition for our 6th grade students. In addition, we will offer a combination 4th and 5th grade class next year.
I am pleased to announce that Leanne Rivera, President of our Parent Teacher Guild (PTG) is coordinating an Alumni Scholarship Fund. Funds generated will provide tuition assistance to students for school year 2011-2012. Letters were mailed out to over a hundred alumni earlier this month seeking their support for financial assistance. If you know anyone who attended Christ the King School who may be willing to donate to this fund, please call the school office and give us that information. Scholarships will be awarded prior to the end of this school year.
